Transformer oil
- Maxtop transformer oil, also known as insulating oil, is a natural hydrocarbon mixture from petroleum refining. It is a mineral insulating oil made by adding functional additives to the unused refined fraction base oil obtained by hydrogenation and fractionation. Its main components are straight-chain alkanes, cycloalkanes and other compounds. It is a water-white transparent liquid.
- Insulation effect: Transformer oil has a much higher dielectric strength than air.
- Heat dissipation: Transformer oil has a large specific heat and is often used as a coolant.
- Arc extinguishing effect: prevent the generation of corona and arc discharge.
- Synthetic oil (silicone oil/synthetic hydrocarbon) meets IEC 60296 standards, is economical and practical, and is suitable for conventional power transformers.
Applications
It is used in insulating oils for transformers, switches and electrical equipment, such as generator transformers, mutual inductors, distribution transformers, ultra-high voltage DC transmission substations, rectifiers, circuit breakers, bushings, inductive transformers and switches in electrical equipment.
